over 80 years of combined experience in the technical, management,
and financial fields. These professionals have provided services to
clients in various specialized industries, and play a critical role
in the strategic direction and growth of Taycom and its clients.
Danté V. Bishop, CPA, President - Danté has over fifteen
years of experience in consulting with business entities regarding
financial, software and management issues, with over six years of
system implementation and Oracle Applications experience. Industry
expertise and training has been gained through exposure to Global
leaders such as General Motors Corporation, Arthur Andersen LLP,
McDonalds Corporation and 3M. Expertise has also been developed
through consulting engagements with multiple fortune 500 clients.
Danté is adept in managing the business issues inherent in several
industries, including manufacturing and automotive, High Technology,
Retail, Public Accounting, and Governmental. Danté has managed
several business units with revenues ranging from $19 million
through $70 million and has consistently demonstrated high levels of
achievement by identifying revenue opportunities and streamlining
business processes. He is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant and
received a Master of Technology Degree from Oracle in 1998.
The greatest assets that Danté brings to clients are his abilities
to educate all levels of staff, maximize individual and corporate
resources, create and evaluate all options, and build productive
teams through effective communication and consensus. Danté has been
entrusted with key day-to-day management and supervision
responsibilities for both Client's and Partners.
Brenda L. Silvils, Vice President Business Development -
Brenda has 22 years of financial information technology consulting,
management, and accounting experience, including 5 years of Oracle
Applications Projects experience. As Chief Executive Officer of a
small consulting firm, Brenda provided planning, Oracle
implementation, and accounting management project services for
satellite communications, information technology, accounting, fiber
optics, and government industries. Brenda also held various
functional and management roles and served as Assistant Controller
and Project Controller, implementing and managing accounting
practices and financial systems for Fortune 500 and middle
companies. Brenda holds a MBA in International Business/Finance, and
undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Education from the George
Washington University and Delaware State University.
Thomas Diggs, Director - Thomas has over 40 years of
experience within the Information Technology industry that includes
ten years of system experience with the Air Force and 26 years with
the Internal Revenue Service. Thomas has served in multiple
Executive Level positions, including Chief Information Officer for
Detroit Public Schools, and Division Chief for multiple divisions
within the IRS, and has provided both management and technical
consulting services to clients in the governmental industry. Thomas
has implemented Oracle Financial and Manufacturing modules, the
related conversion of legacy systems, and upgrades, and managed
several infrastructure development projects. Diggs is instrumental
to Taycom and its clients as a Board Member by providing strategic
guidance on issues ranging from Technology infrastructure, systems
integration, and Program/Project Management planning, to providing
consulting expertise for client deliverables.
Ernest S. Betts, PhD, Director - Dr. Betts has 25 years of
experience in the development of Human Capital, currently serving as
the Assistant Dean of Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College
of Business, Director of the Multicultural Business Programs, and
Assistant Professor in the Department of Management. Dr. Betts has
17 years experience working with Fortune 500 companies in career
development, and has direct responsibility for employment placement
of Graduate and Undergraduate business students in summer
internships and permanent positions.
Dr. Betts has served as a business/educational consultant to a
number of private and public organizations, including General
Electric, Proctor and Gamble, 3M, Ford Motor Corporation, General
Motors Corporation, Baxter Health Care, PepsiCo, and others. He
belongs to a number of professional organizations and committees,
including the Credit Committee for the Michigan State University
Federal Credit Union, and Board Member for Residential Alternative
Care Services, Junior Achievement of Michigan, and Huntington Banks
of Michigan.
Dr. Betts interacts with CEO’s and Executives of major corporations
on behalf of the College of Business to determine the skill sets
that need to be developed by students and professionals in order to
meet corporate requirements. He also assists the corporations in the
development of career enhancement and training programs, including
management and diversity training, in order to ensure Corporate
success through continued development of professional staff.
Dr. Betts contributes tremendously to Taycom and our Client’s
success by providing expertise for recruiting programs, professional
development and training strategy, content and presentations for
specialized workshops, and access to a broad and diverse network of
extremely competent and qualified professional staff resources that
assist in meeting Taycom’s Client’s needs.
